Rate My Takeaway’s Danny Mei Lan Malin  aka Mr Yorkshire and his wife Journalist & Personal trainer Sophie Mei Lan aka Mrs Yorkshire, are the couple behind Mr and Mrs Yorkshire (people nicknamed us this as it’s easier than our married surname Mei Lan Malin). 

Between them they reach millions of people worldwide each week, while making a perfect Peter Kay look-alike meets Myleene (without the) Klass with a  large blended family (5 kids at home and counting). 

Danny Mei Lan Malin made his fame on Facebook during Covid with his comedy sketches before becoming the face behind Rate My Takeaway YouTube channel with over half a million subscribers and millions of fans across social media platforms.

Asides from being YouTube’s breakout star of 2021 with his candid food reviews, he is also a radio and TV presenter, event host and all round candid funny man with strong family values. 

 His wife Sophie Mei Lan Malin shot to fame bellydancing on Britain’s Got Talent after spending her youth as an amateur dancer, presenter and professional actress. She has since presented documentaries for Channel 4 and ITV as well as writing columns for national newspapers and magazines. 

She now works as a journalist for Yorkshire Post-as well as running her own YouTube channel Mama Mei with 24 million views and her social media content has reached over 2 billion people worldwide. She also has a large following on her mental health, fitness and wellbeing channels. 

Together they make up Mr and Mrs Yorkshire as they take their family, love and laughter on a journey across God’s Own County and beyond. Exploring the best food, experiences, hotels, spas, gyms and meeting other Yorkshire folk.
